The King of Pentacles and the Garden Observations

I have done a reading recently for a lady at the London Tarot Study Group who asked the cards how to best deal with an issue at work. The issue involved taking legal action against her boss. I used a 7-card spread for which the first position is The Situation (in what situation the seeker is at the moment). The card that came up was the King of Pentacles (upright).I interpreted this king as being the boss (female) who has created a secure position for herself at work and her employees but there was something dark about this image in this context. This 'darkness' refers to the garden that surrounds this King. I immediately associated this garden with the Garden (of Illusion) from the Lenormand Oracle. The Garden represents society, the people we are surrounded by, our social life, the circle of friends we built up, the environment (material) that we created for ourselves. The King of Pentacles is surrounded by a lavish garden that he created for himself. He probably worked hard (or it seems) to create this wealthy and thriving environment. However, he also built walls around himself and there is a castle in the background suggesting a well-established order or rulership. So in this particular reading this King represented the seeker's boss who has established herself at work as a leader but who also created or built up walls that may have caused other employees to feel 'imprisoned' or be subjected to her (the boss) way of working and doing things. The seeker wanted to break down these walls as she's had enough and something happened to her that really upset her. So I found it rather interesting how the King of Pentacles can be linked with The Garden and this gave an extra depth to this reading.
