This combination of cards stands for the absolute longing and yearning for whatever the person has been planning or wishing for. There is also a sense of sadness and possibly even depression coupled with a sense of wanting to withdraw from everyday activities in order to look within. The gentleman is holding a book which can suggest that he has made plans, studied (did his homework), intellectually prepared for his future. The lady in the blue dress is holding a red rose so she is passionate about what she wants to achieve.
